Flowers For Winter to Early Spring
Snowdrop is a late winter and early spring flower, which is white in color and grows four to ten inches high. These bulbs should be planted in the fall about two or three inches deep and four or five inches apart. These flowers love the cold soil and frigid weather. Full, partial or shaded sunlight is recommended. This bulb can also be planted in a potted container.

Always check the zone in which you live, bulbs tend to thrive better in selective areas while others will struggle for survival; this is true for the Snowdrop which doesn't thrive in warmer climates. Selecting a wide variety of bulb flowers can give you a beautiful garden year round. With a little research you can find flowers that bloom in each of the four seasons leaving you with a neverending cycle of color and decadence. Beauty all year? What more could a gardener ask for?

Choosing bulbs is a good way to achieve an economical, but thriving, garden or landscape. Bulbs double in size and in years to come your investment also doubles, as does the beauty of your garden. A couple bulbs in which to choose from are Winter Aconite and the forementioned Snowdrop.

The Winter Aconite with its beautiful yellow color can grow two to eight inches. Winter Aconite requires humus-rich soil and prefers partial to full sunlight. This flower will bloom in winter to early spring. Snowdrop is a late winter and early spring flower. It is white in color and grows four to ten inches high.
