Jacob’s coat is a plant that is also called a variegated laurel. This plant is colorful, as you would expect Jacobs coat to be. The leaves are shiny, oval-shaped and range from thin to wide in size.

Flaming dragon tree is another plant that will boost your gardening skills. This plant is also known as Tree of Kinds and Ti Plant. This is a type of plant that looks something like a palm tree, with a trunk that bears lance shaped green leaves in colors of red, purple or cream.

The Christmas flower, otherwise known as the Lobster plant, or Poinsettia, is a plant that can be difficult to grow if you are not familiar with it. The poinsettia will produce pink, red, or white flowers when in full bloom.

The China rose or the Chinese Hibiscus is another flower that will give you great satisfaction. This plant will bloom in the spring months, but requires extra care in regulating temperatures. It will produce large trumpet like flowers.

Rhododendrons are a tightly packed flower that can be difficult to grow if you are not careful with the amount of sun this plant receives. Over watering can also cause problems. If you want a winter challenge, the Rhododendron is a plant that you can force to bloom in the winter months in the greenhouse.

Plants that are even more difficult in caring for include the:

The Mexican shrimp plant which gives you small shrimp like looking flowers. This plant will bloom in the late spring and in the fall months.

The Piggy back plant will grow on the upper portions of soil, that can be easily removed. You can grow many types of piggy back plants in the same container with other plants that are more deeply rooted to make the container appear fuller.

Freckle face plants are a greenery plant with freckled leaves. The leaves are dull but the colors of each leaf give your garden or your greenhouse a unique look. The leaves are all different types of irregular shapes that match their irregular look!

There are many types of plants that will present a challenge to gardeners. Lollipop plants, Brain plants, cathedral windows, peacock plants, and the elephant ears or fox tail, red cat tail or even the angel wings or the crystal anthruium are other types of flowers that you can expand your gardening knowledge with.
