Stepping Stones 2: Paths and Treasures
Stepping-stones are a wonderful way to add a friendly, attractive look to your garden. Stepping-stones are all-weather stones, which are designed to stay outdoors all year around. They should be durable and handsome, so that they will last as long as your garden

After you have created a garden, the design of your garden may demand more than plants, flowers, and shrubs, which is where the stepping-stone will add a bit of a personal side to your gardens. Where are stepping stones most often placed in the flower gardens' You can place one at a focal point in your garden, or mingle them among the ordinary patio stones in your walkway. Create a path of stepping-stones for all the children in your life that lead to the garden. Use stepping-stones to create a circle, a square or a "room" in the garden that will differentiate from other areas in the garden. With out these lovely stepping-stones to guide the way through your garden, you just might be tempted to step elsewhere.

Place stepping stones about a step apart, so that if one was to actually use them as a path, then make sure that they won?t be uncomfortably close, nor would the stroller have to jump to reach the next one. They needn't be precisely the same distance apart from each other- just placed close enough to actually make a visiable path through the soil. In fact, the "natural" look is usually much more pleasing in a calming garden and you can achieve this look using randomness in the garden, placing stepping-stones in a "caty corner" like path. But if placing these wonderfully detailed stones outside doesn't seem quite fair protecting their wonderful design and details you can also put them where they can be enjoyed all of the time.

In addition to garden accents, they will make great wall plaques both indoors and out. You can set them along or on benches in the gardens, around the house or deck and you can even use stepping-stones to decorate in the greenhouse. There are many type of decorative stepping-stones, which are made of poly resin for long-term outdoors use and therefore, they are prepared to withstand even the harshest winter weather! But if you truly want to appreciate the stepping-stones, the path, and the details of each stone, making stepping-stones is a gardeners delight.
